KNA February Meeting: The Mid-Penninsular

02 February 2003: Just a reminder that the next meeting
of your local Neighbourhood Association (KNA) is Monday February
3rd, 7:00pm at the Ryerson Rec Centre on Duke St.
Our guest this month is Brian McHattie who will speak to us about
the Mid-Penninsular Highway and the impact this is expected to have
on our neighbourhood. As you are probably aware, Ontario is considering
doubling the lanes on the 403 up the escarpment. Brian and others
are leading the effort to organize a broad based rally against
this expansion with support from area wide environmental organizations
and Ward 1 neighborhood groups.
Don't wait until you read about the "fait accompli" in
the newspaper. Get involved now!
