Centre for Community Study (CCS)
The CCS is an organization focused on the research and promotion
of policy options for the local community. The CCS seeks to inform
local debate on a variety of issues including urban renewal,
transportation policy, media concentration, and political leadership.
Westside
Concert Theatre
Located in the original CHCH Studios at King Street West near
Locke Street, the Westside is our neighbourhoods newest concert
and event venue!
GLOHW
GLOHW, which stands for Greyhound Lovers of Hamilton Wentworth,
is a registered charity established to promote & facilitate greyhound
adoption in the Golden Horseshoe area of Southern Ontario and
beyond.
Hamilton Community Net
A Community Net project serving businesses, not-for-profit organizations
and individuals in Hamilton.
Kirkendall
Neighbourhood Association
Volunteer group of Kirkendall neighbourhood residents who are
interested in development and other activity in our immediate
community. One of KNAs mandates is to become informed about, and
to protect the residential, recreational and social interests
of all residents living the area.
Melrose
United Church
Melrose United Church is located at 86 Homewood Avenue at Locke
Street South. Join Melrose United Church for worship on Sunday
mornings at 10:30 a.m.
Raise The Hammer
Raise the Hammer is an e-zine from a group of Hamilton citizens
who believe in our city's potential and are willing to get inolved
in making the city a more vibrant, livable, and attractive place
to live and work.
Staircase Theatre Cafe
The Staircase is an architecturally spectacular cafe named for
its cast iron spiral staircase. We serve up delicious cappuccino,
thin crust pizza, and decadent desserts. Hidden behind the cafe
is an intimate live performance space with comfy seats. Live shows
are scheduled most nights of the week.
Vision 2020
VISION 2020 describes the The City of Hamilton community in the
year 2020, if the decisions affecting our community follow the
principles of sustainable development.
Volunteer Hamilton
The Volunteer Centre has for over 30 years recruited and referred
potential volunteers to community organizations.
